The Rating divisions started from the yacht club line in Dent Passage on Day 2 and fairly flew off the start under grey skies for the Nautilus Marine Insurance Long Islands Race.
The clouds cleared as the day progressed and by mid-afternoon the spectators on the yacht club deck could enjoy the classic crossing-tacks silhouette of the various divisions heading up Dent Passage to the finish line.
